Bring your records from another app
Import a spreadsheet or an export from another app, check the preview, and undo it if it's wrong.
Where: A new vehicle's overview, the Garage, or Household ▸ Data ▸ Import
You don't have to retype your history. Import reads a CSV file, which any spreadsheet can save, and adds its rows to a vehicle. Exports from LubeLogger are recognised automatically.
- It imports odometer readings, service records, fill-ups and charges, and costs such as insurance and registration.
- One import fills one vehicle, so add the vehicle first, then import into it.
- Import is on every plan.
- Open Import: from a new vehicle's overview, the Garage, or Household ▸ Data ▸ Import.
- Pick the vehicle and the kind of record, then choose your file.
- Check how your columns map. LugNote guesses from the headings; change any it got wrong, and say whether distances are in miles or kilometres.
- Read the preview. It shows what will be added, rows that look like records you already have, and rows it couldn't read.
- Import. Nothing is saved until you confirm.
If an import isn't what you wanted, undo the whole thing for a week afterwards from the same page.
